*Pre-Order* The High Desert Variable Mount Mark-1

from $129.00

The H/D VMK-1 has arrived

You will find, if you look for them, a small amount of Arca mount/bag designs on the market today.

These designs almost exclusively leave the user bound to the manufacturers proprietary products, with varying levels of ergonomical design, tending twords bulky, specialized, competitive shooting oriented products filling only a specific role.

The Vmk1 in essence, aims to remove these restrictions and travel unimpeded through existing systems, plugging the gap between bipods, tripods and stability bags, giving way to modular, intuitive use. Allowing the shooter to re-configure entire systems around it's implementation, deploy on target faster, and more confidently.

The VMK1 makes use of the ARMS17s bolt pattern on the primary CNC machined G10fr4 plate, with an additional riser plate on the top end for clearance of Q/D levers with two adjustable molle-lok style clips so that it may interface with existing kit already on hand. This offers us an open ended stability solution with potential combinations of pouches/pack/belts/bags limited only by the shooters imagination and situational needs, such as storing critical items on-board a weapons platform during a match or hunt.

We have chosen to utilize common and non-proprietary hardware in this design. An avid shooter likely already owns compatible Chicago screws should the supplied screws (and their already mounted backups) ever fail at any adjustment point or through circumstances unforseen. If you own molle-lok clips, utili clips ect, you likely own a compatible Mount to molle interfacing system. Should you use none of these, you can always implement 550/shock cord to lash the Vmk1.

A strategic implementation of the mount in situations when time is of the essence and little kit is on hand is when it performs the best for us. You will see in this demo video an example of the Vmk1 being used off daypack. We kept a larger caliber platform stationary on a tripod dialed for farther targets and deployed a smaller caliber thermal equipped platform off the bag and mount after closing the distance to closer targets. In dynamic situations this can become extremely valuable.

Every mount will be CNC machined finished and asseembled in-house at High Desert HQ and production, Central Oregon.

Due to the nature of this made-to-order product, and our limited ability to keep large amounts of stock on hand, expect wait times up to 6 weeks for your pre-order to ship. We will make every effort possible to expedite this wait time regardless of your place on the list.
